This year, my dad, Rennie, is celebrating his 80th birthday. For a long time now, he’s needed a hip operation, and recently, he was told there’s a two-year wait. It’s been tough for him, as he’s relying on two crutches and sometimes a wheelchair. His days have become more challenging. It’s a huge contrast from the climber and kayaker he once was. He’s always been a man of incredible strength and
adventure.
In 2023 he faced a major setback when he broke his neck after a fall, a result of his limited mobility. But even then, his determination and resilience carried him through an intense recovery. In record time he was back on his feet. However, with his mobility continuing to decline and muscle strength weakening, it’s become clear he needs the surgery sooner rather than later.
After much thought, he’s decided to go ahead with a private hip operation, which comes at a cost. My dad is one of the most humble, generous, and selfless people I know. As a missionary and care worker he’s devoted his life to helping others, and asking for help isn’t something he’s ever found easy.
To help cover the cost, I’m running a print sale on Crowdfunder. I’d be so grateful if you could consider supporting him, even in a small way. The prints feature some of my favourite spots in Wales from the Brecon Beacons to West Wales. Maybe you can guess where they are?
You can see the chosen 4 below but please follow the Crowdfunder button to take you to the page where you can choose the size of print you’d like and keep up to date with the fundrasier.
You’re welcome to purchase as many prints as you like, with sizes ranging from 12x8 inches (about A4) to 18x12 inches (about A3). If you'd like a larger size, feel free to contact me. Each photograph will be signed and I will contact you at the end of the fundraiser for shipping details.
Thank you for considering supporting my dad in this way. Your help means the world to us.
